After these heats was the turn for the first
finals of the day: 500 meters Sprint.
In Junior Ladies the final was composed by two
Italians and two Germans. In this exciting test
Germany was the best and got the gold and the
silver medal with Laethisia Schmek and Madeleine
Graupner. The bronze was for Chiara Vio (Italy).
In Men two Italians, a Belgian and a Portuguese
ran an exciting final where Italy was on the
head during the entire race. Finally Michael
Locci got the gold medal; meanwhile Jore van den
Berghe arrived in second position. Martyn Dias
got the bronze after the disqualification of the
Italian Mauro Corselli.
In Senior Ladies the final was really amazing.
The three skaters from Italy were the leaders
and got the three first positions. In first
position arrived Desiree Contenti, followed by
Nicoletta Falcone and Erika Zanetti. The German
Sabine Berg was too in the final but couldn’t
surpass the strong team from Italy.
In Men, Italy got one more gold medal for its
medal table with Claudio Naselly, meanwhile the
silver was for The Neatherlander Michael Mulder
and the bronze for the French Thomas Boucher.
After this test we had a pause until 20.00 h.

meters Elimination for Cadet Ladies and Men.
In the category of Cadet Ladies only six skaters
were in the final lap. Three skaters from Italy,
one from Spain, one from Germany and a Belgian
made a great sprint fighting for the European
medals. Finally Italy became the first and
second position with Carlotta Faverio and
Giuliana Lollobrigida. The bronze was for the
Spanish Nerea Nuño. In fourth and fifth
positions arrived the German and the Belgian
Tamara Felbinger and Sandrine Tas. The final was
completed by the Italian Arianna Piazza.
In order to finish this second day of road was
the moment for the competition of Cadet Men,
where 26 skaters ran this long test.
Like in Ladies only six skaters would be in the
final lap, where the Belgian Matthias Vosté
became the triumph and got the gold medal. The
silver medal was for the Italian Alberto
Putignano and the bronze medal was for the
German Philipp forstner.
