competitions came back with the heats of relays
for the Senior Men category for 5.000 meters
where only the three first teams would be in the
final.
After this competition it was another pause
until 19.30 h. when began the six finals of
relays, the last competitions of road. The first
final was for Cadet Ladies. There was confusion
because when all the people thought that only
lacked one lap, the marker was still in “1 lap”.
Belgium reacted fast and arrived in first
position to the goal. The Netherland was second
followed by Austria that was third.
At the final of this test the principal judge
decided to restart the test because all of the
skaters they had made a extra-lap.
In the final of Cadet Men Italy got the gold
medal followed by Germany and France that
completed the podium.
In Junior Ladies, Italy made the same and
arrived in first position surprising the German
skater, who thought that was first before
crossing the goal. The bronze medal was for the
selection from The Netherlands.
After a quickly final lap, Belgium overcame and
arrived in first position in the category of
Junior Men. Than arrived Portugal and got the
silver medal followed by France that got the
bronze.
In the final of 5.000 meters Relays of Senior
Ladies the things were difficult for Germany
because the skater Tina Struever fell. Finally
the gold was for Italy, the silver for The
Netherlands and the bronze medal was for France.
In Senior Men, Belgium made the same like in
track and got the gold in an exciting sprint
with Italy that was second. The bronze was for
the French selection.
Finally the Podium of Cadet Ladies was for
Belgium, Italy and France, and the race wasn’t
be restarted.
