In Junior Ladies are three the
skater who will dress the national red and
yellow. Jessica Rodríguez, Maialen Oñate and
Saray Narváez have enough experience for fight
in the category and they are the best of Spain.
Raúl Vergara and David Alonso
will be in the test of speed and in the long
competitions in the category of Junior Men,
furthermore in the long tests will be too Iker
Múgica after make a great season and will
demonstrate his form in Belgium.
Sheila Posada will be the unique
skater in the category of Senior Ladies. Sheila
was unconquered during all the season and got
four gold medals in the Spanish Championship of
track and four more on road. Sheila will arrive
to Belgium for get the medals of speed.
Finally, in Senior men are five
the skaters summoned for the European
Championship. For the tests of speed will be the
Spanish sprinters Joseba Fernandez and Fernando
Mejia who during this season are making great
times in time trial. In the long races will be
Jorge Fernandez and Patxi Peula who got medals
in the last World Championship and with Iñigo
Vidondo will be able get the medals in the
continental races.
“The selection is really good and
we took very well between us which aid to the
coexistence during the European Championship.
During this days we won’t stop to train because
outside Spain the level is higher and we want to
be as even as it’s possible” said Patxi Peula
after know the selection.
The days of concentration aren’t
still confirmed. The selection will concentrate
in Pamplona on 23rd of July and then
they’ll travel to Belgium by bus.
