31.07.09: Germany added medals and Austria got its first bronze medal with Vanessa Bittner

# Finally the long races of yesterday was celebrated

At 20.30 h. began the finals of the second day of races of this European Champioship with the test of 3.000 meters Points of Cadet Ladies where the Italian skaters imposed a strong rate. Giulia Lollobrigida was the winner and got the gold with eight points followed by the Netherlander Kelly Schouten with four points. The bronze medal was for the Austrian Vanessa Bittner who got three points crossing the goal in first position.

In Cadet Men Italy made again a good work and got the gold and the bronze medal with Alberto Purignano and Stefano Mareschi. The silver medal was for the Belgian skater, Matthias Voste.

After a break was the momento for the test of 1.000 meters with the Junios category. In the race of Ladies Germany was again one of the best and got the gold and the bronze medals with Laethisia Schimek and Katharina Rumpus. The second position was for the Netherlander Manon Kamminga who made a great competition too.

In Junior Men the pódium was led by the Belgian Jore van den Berghe who got an advantage and arrived in first position. The silver was for the Italian Matteo Melis and in third position arrived the French Antione Belzanne.

Germany dominated again in Senior Ladies and Sabine Berg got the gold in the test of 1.000 meters followed by the Netherlander Elma de Vries and the Italian Erika Zanetti.

The last test of 1.000 meters was for Senior Men, where the Belgian Bart Swings got the gold medal after two laps of sprint and a clear advantage. The silver medal was for the German Felix Rijhnen who made a great race and arrived in second place in the final sprint followed by the Italian Andrea Peruzzo.

After these races was the turn for the races of 10.000 meters and 15.000 meters Elimination for the Senior category that were suspended yesterday.

In Senior Ladies the Italian skater Laura Lardini made an excelent race and got the gold medal followed by the German Sabine Berg who added her second medal in this day. The bronze medal was for the French Laetitia Le-bihan.

Finally was celebrated the race of Senior Men where the Italian Fabio Francolini showed his it demonstrated good form and reached the highest position of the podium. The second place was for the Belgian Bart Swings followed by Alexis Contin (Italy,) both with a great work.
