- New Zealand gives the names of her selection for the World Championship of Gijón 2008

When only lack two months for the competitions so wainted for of the World Championship of Gijón 2008, the selections prepare these competitions of Speed Skating.

In this occasion, it has been the selection of New Zealand, that already has confirmed his listing of skaters for Gijón 2008, where a total of 17 skaters will be the representatives.

This selection always has benn one of which always it has been in the international medal tables. In the World Championship of Anyang 2006, in South Korea, this selection remained with the third place of the international medal tables, obtaining 8 golds, 6 silvers

and 1 bronze; whereas in the last year, in Cali 2007, Colombia, this New Zealander selection was eighth with 1 gold, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes.

New Zealand, in the category of Junior Ladies has presented two skaters, Samantha Michael, already participant in World Championship the previous one and to Renee Nyman.

In Junior Men, the young skater will only repeat of the past yeat, Niall Ward, who in this occasion will be accompanied by Dale Christiffersen, Kyerryn Hughes, Jordan Oshigaki, Brayden Judd, Mason Macarthy and Daniel Leishman.

The great New Zealander skater, Nicole Begg will be the Senior representative in Ladies, where this year will be looking for the maximun number of medals, since it is in a optimun sate of form and in the marathon after is demostrating in her team international, the Bont Wheels.

Senior Men selection, can be seen of a very good way, since they are all skaters with great trajectories. There will be: Scoot Arlidge, Kalon Dobbin, Shane Dobbin, Reyon Kay, Peter Michael and Daniel Nation, where all of them, chose to the medals.

This selection will be accompanied by the technicians by the federation, Roy Dobbin, Sandra Nyman and John Michael, where all of them lodged in the Hotel Silken Ciudad de Gijón.
