Spain begins to prepared itself to have
all ready for the World Championship of
Speed Skating in Gijon 2008

Yesterday, already of official way,
the spanish´s seleccting, D. Carlos
Lugea, has presented the listing of
skaters who comprise of the
preselection of Gijon 2008.
This list of skaters, composed by 32
names, will be where it will choose
the composition of skaters for the
World Championship 2008.
In the category Junior Ladies, the
preselected skaters are Maialen
Oñate, Itsaso Leoz and Saray Narvaez
(Navarra), accompanied by Jessica
Rodriguez, Sara Fernández, Noelia
Nachón, Vera Iglesias and Nerea
Nuño.

In men, also for the category Junior,
Jorge Fernanez, Abel Martinez, Sergio Fernandez, Mauro
Tuñon and David Alonso (Asturias), Aaron Beneitez and
Raul Vergara (Navarra) and Jonathan Ruiz and Roger
Valverdu (Cataluña).
In Senior Ladies the preselection will
be composed by Paola Garcia and Marta Sanchez
(Cataluña), Saioa Elzaburu and Maria Peru (Navarra),
Sheila Posada, Lorena Iglesias and Irene Reyes
(Asturias).
Finally, in Senior Men, Francisco
Barriga, Patxi Peula, Iñigo Vidondo and Garikoitz
Lerga (P. Vasco), Eugenio Landete, Javier Gonzalez and
Mikel Alzueta (Navarra) and Fernando Mejia (Asturias).
The preselection for the World
Championship of Gijon 2008, would be concentrated
around the second week of August to relaise the
previous training for the World Championship.
