Joey Mantia arrived to Gijón looking for
the tittles of the World Championship and
new records in this season 2008

This morning, around
10:00 h. in the morning, the delegation of United States,
composed by 30 person more or less, arrived to Gijón.
From the airport, all
the team went by bus to the “Hotel Silken Ciudad de
Gijón”, for then eats and proves the official facilities.
In this national
selection, we can see great skaters, but the skater who
emphasizes is the young Joey Mantia of the senior category,
who is the maximum favourite in practically all the
competitions, where in speed and long races, is ever in
the podium of the World

Championship.
The selection was to the
track of Moreda for train in the venue, and made their
training from 16:00 h. to 18:00 h. accompanied by half of
the South Korean selection and the delegation of Chinese
Taipei that was between 17:00 and 18:00 hours.
Today too, the Belgium
skater, Ferre Spruyt, who is component of his national
selection, arrived too to the city for can train.
Tomorrow will begin the
official trainings, where the organization has already
organized schedule for the selection that will participate
in the World Championship of Gijón 2008.
